BECOME A SAFAROTO MEMBER

The SAFAROTO community is a membership based travel community enabling its members to explore the world together with peer-to-peer hosted group trips. Each trip is facilitated by a trip host, a trusted and experienced world traveler who knows the destination well.

In order to join our travel community, you need to complete the application process and pay the annual fee – becoming a “provisional member” and enabling you to start traveling with us and to apply to join any upcoming Flex trip you would like.

The provisional status of your membership may be lifted at anytime by either:

being vouched on by existing community members
or by participating in a group trip and demonstrating your alignment with our community core values.

HOW SAFAROTO TRIPS WORK:

At the core for the SAFAROTO community are “Trip Hosts”, trusted and experienced world travelers, who unlock trips and destinations around the world for other members to join. They pick dates and locations in their travel schedule and enable others to join them – typically in destinations where they are from, where they have lived or traveled extensively.

The SAFAROTO AI algorithm and the support team complete the necessary trip planning steps and announce the trip to the community with all the necessary information about budget, accommodation options, flight recommendations, transportation information along with destination tips & advice answering all the main FAQs one may have about joining the trip.

Members interested in joining the trip can apply to join the trip by filling out the pre-trip survey sharing their preferences for their desired experience for this trip such as activities interest or meal preferences. After review, the trip host can approve them and add them to the trip group chat which is used as the main communication channel before and during the trip for the trip host to coordinate activities and group meals as well as assist members with any questions they may have.
